The BIM QuickScan of TNO is based on (a small part of) the BIM Framework described in the main text of this wiki (BIM#BIM Framework).

It is an instrument to position/compare BIM-related Results or to qualify the AS-IS or TO-BE BIM situation for a specific company involved in applying BIM concepts.

It's a similar tool as the BIM Meetlat (Eng.: 'BIM Yardstick') by BouwnD.
(Actually quite some dimensions identified are similar)

The TNO BIM QuickScan covers the following six dimensions from the BIM Framework:

  1. Life-cycle
    1. One Phase: Brief Design (NL:'PvE') or Concept Design (NL:'VO') or Detailed Design (NL:'DO+UO') or Build or Operation
    2. Multiple Phases
    3. Whole Life-cycle ('Design & Build & Operate')
  2. Disciplines
    1. One Discipline: Architectural or Structural or Building Services or Cost Estimation or Time Scheduling ...
    2. Multiple Disciples
    3. All Disciplines
  3. Semantics

    2. Documents & Drawings
    3. Semantic (object) Models
  4. Interoperability

    3. Open Standards

    3. Hybrid (both related/integrated)
